Training Description

Every interaction in healthcare and human services has the potential to strengthen trust, preserve dignity, and promote healing, or to unintentionally contribute to distress and re-traumatization.

While trauma-informed care has become an increasingly recognized best practice, applying its principles requires more than an understanding of trauma; it requires a fundamentally human-centered approach to professional practice.

In this interactive training, organized around the People First Framework, participants will explore how trauma, adversity, chronic stress, and the nervous system influence communication, decision-making, engagement, and health outcomes while learning practical strategies that promote safety, dignity, collaboration, and resilience.
