About
WVU Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, welcomes you as we engage with cutting-edge research, hands-on workshops, and multidisciplinary lectures on the diagnosis and management of a range of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
Target Audience
Physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and members in the healthcare field interested in up-to-date information in various aspects of inpatient and outpatient adult endocrinology and diabetes management.
Learning Objectives
Following this conference, participants should be able to:
Recognize and manage common endocrine disorders, including hyperparathyroidism, hyperaldosteronism, Cushing’s Syndrome, and thyroid disease
Apply updated guidelines for the screening and management of diabetes and metabolic disorders
Discuss treatment options for male hypogonadism and menopause using a patient-centered approach
Utilize continuous glucose monitoring, nutritional strategies, and rapid guideline updates to optimize endocrine patient care

The topics for this conference include Hyperparathyroidism & Hypercalcemia, Primary Hyperaldosteronism, Cushing’s Syndrome and Cortisol Secretion, Male Hypogonadism and Testosterone, Menopause Management, Diabetes Management, Metabolic Disorder Screening, Thyroid Nodules and Abnormal Thyroid Labs, Vitamin D and Adrenal Insufficiency, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), and Nutrition and Dietary Counseling.
Cancellations
Important: If you are unable to attend the conference after you have registered, you must notify us by emailing departmentofmedicineevents@hsc.wvu.edu by October 23, 2026, to receive a refund. No refunds for conference fees will be made after October 23, 2026. A $25 fee will be charged for all cancelled registrations. We reserve the right to cancel individual sessions or the entire conference. In the event of a conference cancellation, a full refund will be made.

Course Credits
The West Virginia University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The WVU Office of CME designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM . Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Workshops
Participants are welcome to choose from a series of hands-on learning opportunities focused on practical nutrition strategies, CGM interpretation, medication demonstration, and interpreting abnormal thyroid labs. Gain real-world knowledge, practical skills, and takeaways that can be applied directly to clinical practice.
These workshops are a great way to receive small group training that will help participants better serve their patients. Workshops are for participants taking part in the live event only and require pre-registration, as space is limited for each time slot.
Each workshop session is 30 Minutes in length. These session occur every half hour starting from 8:30 a.m. with the last session starting at 1:00 p.m.
