Program Overview
This year’s conference highlights current advances in HIV research and clinical practice, with a focus on applying these advances within healthcare systems across West Virginia. The intended audience is health care professionals throughout West Virginia with an interest in HIV treatment or prevention including Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Social Workers.

Objectives
At the end of this program, participants should be able to:
Apply current HIV research and clinical advances to prevention and treatment strategies in rural and underserved settings.
Describe current national and West Virginia HIV epidemiology and surveillance trends and their implications for prevention and care.
Identify social, structural, and mental health factors that impact HIV prevention, engagement in care, and health outcomes.Integrate innovative models of HIV prevention and care, including telemedicine and community based approaches, into rural practice settings.
Recognize barriers to HIV testing, prevention, and treatment in rural communities, with a focus on West Virginia.
