2026 WVU School of Medicine Thyroid Disease Conference

This conference provides physicians and advanced practice professionals with the latest advances in thyroid science, translational research, and evidence-based clinical care. Participants will review updated guidelines, best practices, and multidisciplinary approaches to enhance the diagnosis, management, and outcomes of patients with thyroid disease.

This conference is a joint partnership between the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and the Department of Medicine, Section of Endocrinology.

Target Audience:

Physicians, fellows, residents, and advanced practice professionals who practice endocrinology, ophthalmology, and those who have a vested interest in the subject of thyroid disease as it applies to their practice.

Conference Objectives:

By attending this conference, participants should be able to:

  1. Apply the most recent knowledge pertaining to basic science and translational research appropriate for providers that care for issues related to thyroid.

  2. Differentiate the changes in guidelines and highlight best practices of thyroid disease management and care for adoption into clinical practice.

  3. Integrate evidence-based care, apply updated guidelines to complex cases, and foster collaboration among specialists to improve patient outcomes.
